As it turns out, you are completely correct and I withdraw that comment.  It just shows how entirely confused I was about what you and Jeff meant by 3rd-party signatures (which Jeff clarified in his response).  Jeff's definition of 3rd-party signature is entirely different from what I thought it meant (and what other experts have responded to me with off-list BTW).

I've taken this conversation off-list.
