DKIM is not 'in a state of flux'.

The <http://dkim.org> web page has listed a stable specification for nearly 2 
years (well, certainly more than 1.)  It also cites a number of existing 
implementations.

In addition, the IETF working group effort at revisions has completed, except 
for final approval from the IESG. Any changes from the previous, stable draft s 
are upward compatible.
