What is the "identity" being validated?  Some identities have more
intrinsic "worth" over others.  If the identity being validated has
little, to no, intrinsic "worth", then nothing is gained.

DKIM must clearly define which identities it validates, and the
role the identities play, in order to determine the real value DKIM
provides.
