[dkim-ops] Newbie Getting DNS records right

I am unable to get my DNS records correct
I am doing a test dkim setup with dkim-filter & postfix

I did the following things 
1) Install dkim-milter & configure postfix 
2) run dkim-genkey and generated the public/private keys
3) Configured the DNS record
    dig _domainkey.pragatee.com TXT +short


I sent a testmail and the mail does go with some signatures to gmail,
but gmail says the DKIM validation failed.
I believe my DNS records are wrong.

Can someone tell me what is it that I am doing wrong.
